Why is nobody reporting on all the Nordstrom layoffs??? Is media asleep? Nordstrom product group is suffering under leadership under qualified leaders ie.buyers can’t grow into operation leadership which is why it’s a sinking ship relying on Jeff Kaas a consultant from a furniture factory on how to operate. This is not acceptable leadership and lives effected from bad management millions of dollars wasted!

What is the severance package if you are laid off? I here there might be more coming with business trends.
Where to begin...if you aren’t being laid off, be prepared to be pushed out as has happened to many in the past year. Widespread incompetence, lack of diversity the list goes on. “It’s not broken people, it’s the broken process”?! LMAO. The process is set up by people who double down on ignorance and have no interest in learning about their respective industries. Management love to throw around how they are ‘disrupting the industry’ when all they are disrupting is their employees’ mental health and well-being. And frankly one has to wonder how much longer vendors will put up with being treated like poo. It’s widely known it’s for the prestige and they barely make money from NPG goods considering the quantities and inability to meet minimums. The rot is from the top down, inside out. Good luck to everyone and have a contingency plan.

I’m wondering what real experience the ELT have of managing transitions? Have they worked in a true fashion environment. The sheer amateur approach will be Nordstrom’s downfall - I give it 15 months
How long will it be before someone realises the Nordstrom rot wont be sorted by Kaizen - a classic case of wrong solution to the wrong problem. Watch this space because very soon the penny will drop and the ELT will be laid off and real talent hired. You see it across retail!

Yes kaizen philosophy is something most companies value to review efficiency. How Kaas has turned it into his profit also taking over org structure has gone too far.
