Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Layoffs unlike as we can’t fill the work we have.

Work more hours (eei) is code for “we aren’t able to hire to fill our demand.

The “do more with less” mantra echoed in honeywell for years. By which was meant do more hours work with less actual pay. Sound familiar principals who’s work isn’t worth a bonus?

Now we are seeing the managers grab onto the idea of engineering generalist. Teams own all decisions just like the good old days and we need to outsource specialists or eliminate them entirely as velocity k--ling process mongers.

Let’s see how that worked for the navy..

Can’t possibly happen on aircraft right? Right Boeing?

I hope aerospace realizes that people’s lives are at stake as they make decisions to eliminate specialists and wipe out the useless lessons learned they carry.

Layoffs for old expert specialists that slow us down.

Young untrained generalists don’t complain about long hours.

Technical experts? We don't need no steeeeeeenking technical experts. No we need project weenies and lots of them. Put the process steps in front of these newcomers and let 'er rip. What could go wrong?

It's cute you think corporate would care even slightly about any lives, human or otherwise.
