38 years old, 5 years in vz now in VSP, 15 years in IT, holding 200 bitcoins from $200s, 1500 Ethers from $8. Got a small town home PIF worth $290k. 401k is worth $250K almost most of it earned from VZ with investment on GBTC ticker. My worth fluctuates by a quarter million every day.

Wife stays at home and kids are in college!
Took VSP and love love love life!
Remember that 401k figures are all pre-tax..Your Uncle Sam thanks you for investing so wisely on his behalf.
Shave the kids.
...and a mortgage or car payment are still liabilities that get figured into net worth. Sometimes upcoming college tuition too.

48 yr old. Mar VSPer. Band6. $1.6M. No mortgage (but don't own house either). No car loans. 2 kids in college (no student loans)
53 y.o. didn't get chosen for the VSP. Waaahhh. net worth about $2M ($1.5M, 401K). always did 16% every year. always invested in equities, never conservatively. funny how that baby grows over time. married, two kids - 1 in college. looking to hanging it up (in a few years). house almost paid off.

I’m older but I’m around an even 2 million. When wisp comes out I’m gone. Until then I’ll keep building the wealth.
At 40 it was 750k
At 45 (when I left under VSP) 1M. Only debt is a single outstanding car loan.

My wife and kids spend every dollar I earn so I guess the loose change in my pocket is what my net worth is.
At 42 I finished paying my mortgage and was debt free. I started with VZ at 24 and saved 16% every year. Please note I am married to a blue collar worker - no kids. VZ grade 6.
Take advantage of the 401k match it is a great benefit.
I don't want to brag, but mine is negative right now. 42 y.o. - I guess I am a failure, but life plays games...
