Final week for those remaining who signed on for the VSP. Congrats to all of you who stuck it out, dealing with the work left behind by those who accepted the offer and exited before you. If you are continuing your career somewhere else enjoy a break and dont look back. For those of you able to leave, not needing to reset your career and are going off to retirement, congratulations! Know that VZ will not miss you. They will miss the value you provided to them... maybe not next Monday... maybe not in a month... but they will. VZ will survive but not without cost. The brain drain is being felt and will be apparent when the emails to you bounce back to those looking for help. Automated bots are not the answer to everything.

The earliest you would get it is 3 weeks post termination. This assumes that you signed the severance agreement at least 7 days prior to your last day.
Does anyone know how long it took to get the severance money? HR is so vague about it. Its the last darn group...they should know an exact time for goodness sake. Lol.
Thanks! Good advice...walked out the door today.
For those who are leaving on 6/28, take your time. I left on 12/28 and was employed by 1/28 and I wish I had taken another week or month off. Enjoy yourself.
