Not fake at all, I was laid off. No specific reason was given, just that my position disappeared. But I found out a few days later that my position was given to a one of the VP’s “friends”

I’m hearing the layoffs are still happening. How long is this going to take? HR is completely useless!
The review process is complete waste of everyone’s time. It’s obvious HR is not taking these into account, it’s who your friends are.
This layoff has been going on since last week and they’re still going at it? Great job, HR! This is doing WONDERs for morale.

It has nothing to deal with redundancy.
Look around and see who is let go and who stay. Main factors are:
-Who you know
-Age
-Salary
HR has no clue if you are performing or not.
It's like saying "it's raining" without specifying where. Can we have more info about where did this happen, number, positions?
Why do people keep denying it. I know of three people so far. Maybe not full on blood bath. Just all the redundant jobs being clean up, so the rest could work harder.
Maybe they should look at Directors and above that have no spines.
