Thread regarding Walmart Pharmacy layoffs

Any more cuts today?

Is it done? Or can we expect to see more before the end of the week?

We were told on a manager conference call yesterday that our market was done, but to not talk about it until Friday because other markets were not.

Pharmacy’s should be run by pharmacists. A few decades back you needed to be a pharmacist in order to own a pharmacy in CT. The pharmacist owned the shop and also had many other items available like a small CVS store. Pharmacist salaries began suffering and their work conditions deteriorated also once CT removed that law and big chain stores moved in.

Some pharmacist group/association needs to start lobbying State Government to put that law back in place. Pharmacists still make a good salary and should have some money to spare to fund such an effort.

I’m expecting a call in about an hour from HWMD, they wanted me to come in but I couldn’t drive that far away with my infant son. So no here on the east coast the cuts are just getting started :(
