Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Something brewing at Citi second week of July

I keep hearing something is going to happen the second week of July in O’Fallon, MO. A big announcement or layoffs.

Any more info on this?

To the person who received the severance after 11 years, when was your last day? Have you received your actual payment yet? Over a month since last day here, and nothing.

I was laid off as well as my whole department when Cenlar rescinded their offer to my group at the O’Fallon location. Some have received a severance package, some have not. I have not. The person is been talking with In HR is gone so not sure who to contact now. The whole thing has been a nightmare. Any suggestions on who I can speak with regarding severance?

I received my package for 11 years of service, 22 weeks of pay... I was just 25 days from 12 years of service so that was a little painful, you would think being that close and loyal to Citi that they would have rounded up! No way and another co-worker of mine gave Citi over 25 years was also canned 2 years away from retirement... why can him when he gave his life to Citi and so close to retirement???

There are more employees left at the sites then you think. They have needed to keep people on to facilitate the loan transfer to Cenlar. There are more layoffs planned that is definite. The transition to move all the servicing to Cenlar has been a terrible mess. A bunch of awful, inept people are in charge and have no idea what they are doing. I find it laughable that they moved the loans to a terrible company who has a very bad reputation, just read the employee and customer reviews. The reason they wanted to get out of mortgage servicing is because of how corrupt they were before, during and after the mortgage crisis. Good employees lose their jobs because of the ineptitude of the company, GO FIGURE!

The big announcement is the introduction to new site manager. I can't imagine layoffs cause there really is no one left who was impacted by the MSR. It's a good then now.

Citi fires and hires at the same time. It never stops. So don't fuss over it.

The stress of layoffs every month is unbearable. Give me a package and let me out of this mess.
