We are given a soft notice that Jobs are moved to other locations in the US, India or Philippines and current employees have to train their replacements...completely demeaning. Not only that, we havent been given our formal 45 day notice yet so we continue to train and work until the replacements are up to par before we are kicked to the curb. Horrible!

chase consumer direct mortgage is outsourcing hundreds to thousands of jobs to Philippines and now India. It has been a slow methodical process. They are even underwriting first mortgage in Manila and Home Equity underwriting in Manila is about to kick off later this year. Word is round of layoffs in August then October so be ready folks. The word needs to get out to the public that their loans at Chase are being processed thru foreign countries.
Are you going to get a displacement package? I hope it is decent. If not line up a new job now. If the package is sh--ty and you find a new job like say at Huntington take it and leave early. Who knows the satisfaction might be worth leaving early. Typically company purse strings start tightening in the 3rd quarter and then start loosening in late 1st qtr. Start shopping for a new job now. It you're in IT freshen up your resume and reach out to those you are linked to in linked in.
Which Department are you in? Would be important info for other Columbus Chase employees monitoring this site. Thanks.
We all know back-office banking jobs are being eliminated or relocated at lightning speed. It would be worse if JPMorgan was training your replacement and didn’t give you the heads up of the coming layoffs.
As a Chase customer, the news that banking jobs are moving offshore concerns me. My concern is over the confidentiality of my banking information. Time to consider moving my accounts elsewhere.
Wishful thinking. Good luck timing that out.
Be thankful for the notice and be proactive with your job search. The best FU to the bank is to walk out with a job after receive the RIF package.
