Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Nightmare on N Lexington Springmill

Don't know where to start. Headcount down over 20. People quitting weekly. Attendance, what's that, lucky to see fewer than 6 call offs a day. Managers running register, managers cutting meat, manager driving forklifts, and who's running the show? Not our over paid leads, missings signs everywhere, floor outs everywhere, go backs everywhere. The club hasn't been zoned in days, clothing looks like a giant blender went through. We used to get awards like club of the year now we wouldnt qualify for big lots store of the year. Even Ollies looks better than us. Members complaining, associats at wits end. Managers cant help they are too busy doing everyone elses jobs, except one who just sits in the office all day. Plus credit and cmn, aint nobody got time for that. The ship is sinking.

The 4 am shifters are screwed. Everything dumped on us. Front end leads just do the same nothing and order everyone else in the store to get things for them. I guess lazy is the way to get a big raise. What about us merchandisers that are twice the age lifting heavy stuff all morning. Way to go sams club!

since the person who started this thread was so blunt as to which club they work in I am wondering if ANY of that club's managers will be brave enough to respond to this thread in defense of how they are running things. Not. They are prolly saying the workers are just lazy and dont wanna go with new ways.

No one is responsible for signs at our store. The associate who did signs quit. Considering the haphazard way signs are hung, it's a wonder shoppers don't revolt! But hey, there's no time to hang signs. There was four of us yesterday morning, with two managers dropping stuff. We didn't do click n pulls either. Glad I'm off today.

sounds like you are describing our club ! Zoned ? What's that? oh yeah thats the thing evening shift is supposed to do but on mornings we have to do it plus stock 90 percent of the club. Our morning manager seems to be in competition with the evening one. They drop even more stuff for us than is already dropped by the evening folks. Lets see who can work these horses to death first. The slave driver cries more more faster faster !!..
