Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Another Store Slamfest Experience

Verizon just doesn't seem to get it. No one wants the HUM ever! Keep treating your customers like dirt and even the dumb ones will stop coming in.

I saw this article and was trying to share it all I could. Seems like it didn’t grab traction

I hope Verizon gets caught with the scams they ran like wells fargo....

It was like that in the retail and the business channel.

Let's pray this gets out and Verizon has to credit the billions in fake revenue it generated from shady sales practices.

Jetpacks, ellipsis tablets, hum, home phone connect to name a few from my 7 year tenure.

Quit, it was the best decision I made all year.

Reps in my store are recording managers and others telling us to do these things, first person to be " coached out " will be using this to their advantage posting online an driving to the media. Verizon tells us to sell with integrity, winks at us and then tells us to screw every customer we can, customers are starting to catch on also and and are looking elsewhere.

I cringe every time a manager try’s to get me to do the, “tell them we can reduce their bill if they buy a hum” scam. No, I will not. I can tell the customer they are on an outdated plan and the new one is a better fit for them, but I’m not doing shady revenue replacement.

I’ll continue to sell more and make less than previous years thanks to this god awful commission structure and insane quotas. And if the DM or GM wants to try and coach me out because I refuse to trick old people into hums with scummy sales tactics and slamming tmp on everyone who walks into the store then I’m ok with it.

I used to be proud to say I worked for Verizon. Now when people find out where I work they all have a similar story about getting slammed.
