Really curious about this. I was furloughed 3 months ago along with 10 other people at my location, and we said our goodbyes to our colleagues that got to stay.one of us believe we will ever come back. Do other people in the same situation have the same feeling or have some people been actually called back?

I’m sure someone somewhere has but most moved on and got other jobs for their health and sanity.
A couple have quit, one retired and they’ve recalled furloughed people to fill the vacated jobs. So far, so good.
Who in their right mind would choose to go back?
UP is getting rid of the unions. So dont expect a callback bud
30 were called back in North Platte then after quitting jobs and starting to move back were called back and told they didnt have a job. F--- Vena F--- Lance and f--- this sh--hole company that is absolutely unforgivable by a fortune 500 company
Don't hold your breath, the company is in the process of breaking the unions.
A few guys made it back to work in north platte before they were refurloughed
As people retire, quit, or leave for other reasons the company will determine if there is a need for the position. If so, the furloughed worker will be notified in order of seniority. If they don’t think the manpower is needed then you’ll just stay on furlough.
This wasn’t a furlough due to lack of business. This was a cut for greed. They are now working everyone that much harder and the unions are absolutely worthless to do anything about it. Simple answer don’t hold your breath.
