The receiving clerk at our store spends most of his time covering for the head cashier on the front end and the LTL covers his job as the receiving clerk seems like it’s already happening
for every employee who quit in my store, he has NOT been replaced. we have one specialist per dept, and no help. yesterday, there was one person and one cashier in all of lumber, pro, i was that employee. i had no spotter, and couldnt even drop bunks for customers or cut wood because I was like white castle taking numbers to help the customers. we are considered a "hi vol" store too! we still have an LP guy, but I havent seen him in 1 month now. other employees are allowed not to take lunches, and come and go as they please.
management puts fake names on the schedule as coverage. been going on for a year and HR was notified and he even pulled it up and agreed the people didnt exist and he would "look into it". nothing has changed.
lowes is chit people. complete and utter chit. i have completely gone from a productive, caring, hard working employing to someone who cannot do his job despite every effort. its literally impossible to do my job in my chit store. i can list 1192 reasons.

We heard about this at my store also Marvin Wants To cut all none sales associates we were told most sos will be direct to customer no need for more than one associate in receiving
If we go the way of Home Depot they have 1 Receiving Clerk and 1 Receiver and that's it in Receiving.
What store(s) are down to 1 person?
30 million and over stores are splitting isle and oslg for part of the year. DS will lead paint in the spring/summer and islg in the fall/winter. How much you wanna bet you’re doing both all year long?
either the troll has 3 devices to down rank people with or a lot of you are flat stupid. some anonymous individual puts out a wild unsubstantiated claim. you should always view that with a grain of salt.
prove it and then i will believe. I am with the other poster. Only info in the pipeline about DS is that inside and outside LG are combining and paint is getting their own DS. possibly then going back to separate inside and outside LG during the summer.

yeah...i bet you were notified of this......fat chance...they barely even tell store managers of their crazy decisions before they do them. stop trolling. to combine both youd then be the ASM over ops. itd be impossible to be over the front and back of the store as the direct supervisor. logistically and humanly impossible. the sheer number of associates to oversee and task. back end already is swamped with freight, stocking and delivery. back end supervisor is already a combination of two supervisors positions from years ago. front end is a very customer needy area and they have all their task to be checked off.

That's jus ridiculous! My god....what are they thinking! I don't think that'll work, esp in the larger volume stores. That's a basic in retailing...101...then freight will never get to sales floor! Saving payroll more...I guess. Wonder what Corp. Genius came up with this idea..bonus? Stores that do this plz report back...IF there's anyone there...working....
