Thread regarding Conifer Health Solutions layoffs

Conifers biggest client settled lawsuit $25 MILLION

We recently had a meeting about Conifers biggest client CHI Franciscan settlement of $25 million for not giving charity care/ financial assistance. Not to mention there's still no update about Tenet selling Conifer, but their CEO talked about plans to layoff 1000's of jobs including revenue cycle management which is what Conifer does for them. All management at Conifer is hush hush and tells us our jobs are fine, but with the lawsuits and Tenets financial issues it's a sinking ship.

Don’t get a lot of PTO too many system issues a daily expect you to go above and beyond they don’t do the same for you a lot of micromanaging they use their systems to watch your every move instead of telling you upfront that you’re having issues on your calls or something to help you know how to improve better they hide it and then they want to bring it up as soon as you try to move out within the company and hold you back you have to jump through hoops just to get the bare minimum This is a customer service based job on the outside but within the company from the headquarters to the managers to the supervisors customer service is terrible with coworkers and peers I wouldn’t recommend this company even if I only had one dollar to my name Don’t even get me started on the benefits terrible You get monthly incentives but you basically have to be perfect and sometimes on this job they make too many mistakes of getting checks late under paying not paying employees for holidays until like a month later and that’s only when a coworker notice it not management check your paychecks They use your PTO when they’re not supposed to I went on maternity leave and they use my PTO so when I came back I was in debt they told me they could fix it but I would’ve had to pay all the money back Overtime is offered but it’s only when it works for them not when you need it half the time the supervisors and managers don’t know anything about the actual job it’s up to those who are working on the calls to know and correct them If you manage to get through the constant harassment criticizement of your personality or your voice or the person that you are good luck they will keep pushing until you have nothing left to where you are just a robot. Telling you that you’re the best only because you make their collections look good and you don’t get any commission off of collections the money gets put in their pocket at the end of the year if they make a certain quota they get a bonus they do nothing for their employees around the holidays you don’t have to work on federal holidays but you do work around them instead of being with your family no rotating holidays. Communication skills with team management is nonexistent and even worse when you try to contact the corporate office you work for this company you will know how it feels to be at the bottom of someone shoe Don’t have a personal life you gotta have a reason to take off all the time don’t have any emergencies they don’t care bottom line I could go on and on with how bad this company is to work for don’t waste your time

A verbal promise such as "There will be no lay-offs with this merger" is a contract. If Conifer breaches this contract, you can file a lawsuit. Keep in mind you only have a small window to file a suite. In the state of Washington, you have one year.
Also, a verbal agreement is only good for one year. If Conifer breaches their verbal agreement of no lay-offs 18 months later, you that no recourse to hold them accountable. However, if you get this veral agreement in writing, the verbal contract is valid for 4 years. You only have one year to file a suite for breach of verbal or written verbal contract in the State of Washington.

Would love to be a whistle blower for anyone looking to find inaccurate billing policies. They do not follow contractual rates ( specifically at metro west medical center In Framingham ) there GZ Modifications are off and they also bill employees for deductibles at the facility when the contract states deductibles don’t apply at tier one facilities. They do not follow Medicare guidelines nor provide ABN’s for non covered services at several of their outpatient locations. The state should review this and question SR. Leaders who are made aware but fire anyone who speaks up.

I worked for Conifer/Tenet for over 9 years and I have to say they treat their employees aweful. I took a $11 hour pay cut because of how I was treated. And there medical benifits were so over priced and poor coverage.

A loyal employee of many years. I am shocked how poor management now treats their workers. Appears as it has been happening for quite some time across the country. Anyone considering accepting an offer, think twice. They will most likely work you into the ground and throw you out the door as soon as they can without anything more than kicking you harder on the way out. Terrible company.

It seems this is the normal for this company. the talk about Integrity, Respect, Unity there is none and the so called Market Directors, couldn't find there way out of a paper bag. Texas has the worst representation they fire people at the drop of a hat, when they should get rid of these cr--s. crawling over everyone too get to the top and mistreatment of staff that don't align with there plans. I hope people continue with these lawsuits so the Conifer top brass can see what it's like to look for work.

I would love to know more about the lawsuit as well. There have been people working on the font-lines during this Covid-19 pandemic, and Conifer has done NOTHING for their employees. We aren't getting any hazard pay, some of us aren't provided with the any PPE, and Conifer higher-ups are silent! This company cares only about money, not about their employees.

How do I join this lawsuit? I was one of the employees at conifer and was wrongfully terminated. Conifer... instead of being honest that they were becoming bankrupt or whatever their situation was, lied to all their employees and stated out jobs were secure... however behind our backs, Human Resources a d management were coming up with ways to fire individuals erroneously.

Turnover rivals that of a temp agency in Michigan.Management treats staff poorly. They dont fix problems and the problems remain and get worse. People are overworked and threatened to work in multiple areas because of few staff.

This company is solely about profit and not people. The staff are underpaid and over worked. Turnover is absolutely ridiculous here in the Phoenix market. Training is a joke and management has no idea how to treat people.
