CRS isn't the only dept that's going to be hit. They are putting a strategic plan in place and outsourcing as well as automating as much as they can. Stay tuned because there will be more RIF's in all dept's and line of businesses except for crop insurance and reinsurance.

I heard that very soon there are going to be RIF's with CRS.

I am seeing many more resignations now. I suspect it was to do with the Help-desk reshuffle going overseas. Good for them!

Hard is just hard hard work. The lesson as a kid is hard work is its own reward. The lesson to be to learned is not to work hard all your life but the lesson is that hard work is it’s own reward. A rolling stone gathers no moss - work hard for yourself and your reputation and move on for the good of self. AIG stinks!!!

BD and Senior Management don't seem to care how hard employees work to make this company suceed. They have RIF'd a lot of good talent that worked towards that goal. It's my belief that there will be more RIF's because we are still not writing a lot of business. A lot of the business we write is being handled by TPA's. I think they are taking this company in a different direction. In addition, they aren't writing some lines of business in several states. Too much being out sourced and they continue to look to decrease head count and automate whatever they can.

they think shipping all the IT work to India will solve their problems. Don't worry about Brian though, hes got his private jet and a huge place in Bermuda. He will he fine.

I hope their black hearts enjoy feasting on what's left of AIG.

And yes, if you think it's all political and a product of long term management incompetence, you would be right

Layoffs ALWAYS occur on a pay week. Typically on Tuesday and told to leave but last day is that Friday. Then you get 2 weeks short notice pay and the rest is “the package.” Makes sense June 14 as it also coincides with end of second quarter. .interesting.

The 14th is a payday week....we must keep this organized and tidy....

@ZbCULgO-6auz I don't understand, what's happening on June 14th?

There will be more lay offs and it doesn't matter if stock is up. It will probably happen in August from what I hear.

71% of the American people in May believe the economy will only improve in the next year. What kind of a company is going to rif their employees while other competitors are begging for qualified professionals? Take that to the Boardroom BD. We'll find out in the next 6 months.

Too bad it's not the correct people. The fossils thst work in some areas are still around, doing nothing. When a person's job is moved to another city and they either have to move without relo and take a lower salary, is that a RIF of sorts?

They do the H1B Visa violation as well. They do take off lot of American employees and maintain the H1B workers through full time and vendors. To maintain these H1s they keep changing the company title as well. I hope some one opens a class action lawsuit.

Last quarter was great! That mean we are on the mend. Good things are coming. Stay positive and work hard for BD.

The direction of the company was decided years ago. No matter what BS BD espoused when he took the helm - it’s simply that - BS. The cycles of layoffs is so clear now. I’d say July Aug for sure the grim reaper will be back. Too bad they can’t have some guts and fess up with explicit words on the company’s real plan. Good luck.

Maybe if we work hard over the next few months BD will understand that layoffs is not the correct direction to take. So I say work, get on new business, take rate or get off bad business, increase ded on all lines and pray. To the moon. God I love this Company.

The comment about slim and few layoffs is true. As I mentioned in March.(YES that was me) AIG changed its course for the remainder of 2019. No matter how much you hate the company and I do. it doesn't change the facts. They made $ this past quarter and it made an impact on their corporate restructuring. Get out of this company before the economy turns sour.

I spoke with someone at our Help Desk in Fort Worth this morning and was told that they are gone in July. Now all Help Desk calls will be handled overseas. I am sure that will work well.

They must be getting out of Trucking, WC, stand alone property, middle market and most of Fin. Lines due to the long term poor loss ratio. They only reason to stay is that they need the premium dollars.

Oh Also Personal LInes. Lay offs until 2025

I have not seen nor heard of any layoffs at this time. I am in a position that I would see this. All quiet.....for now. When they start working on next years budget...you can start checking this site again. Enjoy the upcoming holiday and forget about this place.

Did IT get hit again? How about the Finance area? There are a lot of overpaid workers over there in NYC. Most importantly they don’t work hard.
