Why haven't they cut any management? For example supervisors and middle management with do-nothing jobs.

The great majority of the terminal and field managers could stay home and the railroad would run without them , Probably much better without them . But who would be on the daily conference call ? There is a real brain trust for you.It's a circle jerk via the phone lines.
Don't worry. Management will take care of itself. When they have to come up with a plan to squeeze blood from rocks because of low manpower and terrible morale, they'll be canned.
That’s what I am saying. That is at least where HH started at CSX. He cut 1000 right out the gate. I know we at NS have at least that many useless management. But they cut the working men instead. The ones that keep the company making money.
I think they are slated for mid July.
