Day to day changes in the stock price mean nothing. Whether or not some stores are doing better year over year mean nothing. The only important thing is if BN has enough credit to keep their doors open, and, more importantly, if working there is anything more than a Sisyphean act of personal torture.

Bookselling used to be a calling; in some places, perhaps it still is, but those days at BN are long past, Now, it's all hands at lifeboat stations, and the devil take the hindmost.

Exactly what @ZajvQdv-2iyb said. There is no future at BN, at least not if care about your work. The best thing to do now is move on.
