Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Don't think you're safe if you received a raise

Having received a raise recently will not shield you from being laid off. Talking from personal experience. I managed to enjoy my pay bump (as measly as it was) just for a few months before I was handed the proverbial pink slip.

Just thought a warning to others would be nice, since it took me by surprise.

So you resigned last week, huh? Just know your reputation is garbage and everyone knows you’re a fraud. Going to another “bank” won’t change that. You know who you are.

My job is on the chopping block because they got out of the mortgage servicing business, and that's what I do. Cenlar took over most of the work, and by October, it will be phased out completely and all of us will be gone. I have been aware of this for awhile, however, the way they do the cuts is awful.

You probably got too expensive after the pay bump so they cut you.

yes. i got a small one this year, but my job is on the chopping block, just don't know for sure when. there is no employee appreciation anymore and morale is in the toilet. i am just playing the waiting game.. i would not be surprised at anything this company pulls on us at this point.
