Hours Cut Again

Has anyone else noticed on the new schedule that just dropped that another hour has been cut?

Im ultra low volume. I have a 186 a week budget, reduced from 196 last year. I just got 2 more hours cut for a "reduction in ad tags" so now I'm at 184. I get big weekly trucks, usually about 17 pieces and 12 of those are dollies and 2 pallets. They increased my sales target and my MCC target by 6% and 7 points, respectively. I can see it now, they are trying to squeeze every penny out of us by making it even harder to bonus and cutting our hours even lower than what used to be called minimum hours.

This isn’t about stores that have fluctuating hours based on demand. There are some stores - usually low/mid volume- that have the same set number of hours year round regardless of how busy/slow you are. These cuts are affecting those stores.

Which means when business picks back up, these stores will not regain any hours.

Cutting hours TOO much could eventually lead to "accidental" store closures, as you will get down to one person per shift, and some people might say "forget this c-ap" and quit. And if you don't have enough people to keep a store open, then "oops I guess we'll just have to close this store!" As in this is a sneaky way to close stores without making corporate look bad. Thoughts??

Cashier = 98 hours a week. Let's just say 2 hours a day for morning routine plus quick pick every day for the week = 14 hours. Hour a night to do registers = 7 hours. Total of 119 hours. Subtract that from a budget of 194 = 75 hours left to do EVERYTHING else. Truck, sale signs, work stock room, damages, pws, never ending list of planos, office work, dealing with vendors, etc... it's a f---ing joke.

Yup. I’m sure it has something to do with the business slowing down with summer but it’s still bs.

Yep. I fully predict that low volume stores will be just 1 person all day when the new budgets release next year.

But that’s ok, the DL’s nor corporate have a leg to stand on with unemployment when you get fired for not getting things done.
