Meanwhile Ford continues to fund FordDirect and the employees there enjoy “Summer Fridays,” working from home, FREE lunch and snacks, FREE top of the line medical/dental benefits, BONUSES, and a Google-like work space — all on FORD’s dime. Most if not all of the executive team are rejects from other companies and sit comfortably there at FordDirect with no intention to leave their high paying posts. Allegedly the legal department simply outsources any real legal work instead of handling in-house. Allegedly HR department is completely inept and lazy. Pay close attention to Glassdoor reviews. Usually, where there’s smoke there’s fire.

There is a lot that the OP gets right in this post. However, Ford doesn’t fund FordDirect. FordDirect makes a ton of money and funnels it back to Ford.

HR in building 1 is completely useless! Never there, never answers calls/emails/texts. Very rude.
