Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Time to start learning

People working at TR should really be trying to learn new skills. Improving yourself will make sure you are not stuck in the job market that's over saturated with employees sharing same skill sets, looking to fill same positions.

Just saying, the way TR has been laying off, chances are most of us will be looking for a job sooner rather than later. I definitely want to improve my chances, and so should you.

Agreed. Mention of changing skill set was a key message in the last c2c townhall. Moving from data entry to automated processes. If your not investing in new skills, you won't have a place in future state TR. Just saying, some talented and knowledgeable people should really start marketing their skill set before it's too late.
