Not much info here on other pages, and we all know that media doesn't cover layoffs unless they are one of the auto companies or if the numbers are in thousands.
So do we know if other railroad companies are on a mass layoffs path or are these never ending cuts exclusively ours?
I'm asking mainly because I'm trying to figure out how hard it'll be to find a new job if I'm laid off.
NS is knee deep in PSR right now. Just went through our 2nd round of layoffs and see no end in sight to the nonsense. Currently NS is a toxic place to work with no job security what so ever. They claim 3000 cut by 2021.
There is plenty of media coverage about layoffs from other companies. You just have to look on Google. Not that hard.

BNSF is the best Class 1 by far...
BN will be autonomous before any other class 1. They have more detectors. They have a waiver from the FAA to use drones for track inspections over long distances. They’ll be the first to do one man crews. All you BN foamers go work for them if their so great.
BNSF is a better run company without it.
It's basically all the same man. it's like leaving the navy to join the air force, but you're still deployed to a third world country.
Norfolk southern is implementing psr, I believe kcs has dabbled with it. BNSF has not, but Warren Buffett gave an interview saying he is watching how it works with UP and long story short if the results are good they may try it.
