Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Why is no one talking about aisle/bay/loc

It was announced recently in my store that aisle/bay/loc are going away

Store manager said the VP of stores said it a crutch

Really???

ITS A PRODUCTIVE IMPROVEMENT PROCESS

Other companies are making stocking faster

And more accurate

Lowe’s is going backward

it's not going away.. changing yes. eventually every thing will be located. you will even be able see multiple locations. You just won't see it on the price label...

My department manager once went through and bin located an entire aisle only for the store manager to tell him to print out stickers without that info on them.

The reason? Bin locating helps associates, not customers. And if it doesn't directly help customers you can get f---ed.

i swear, at least 5 customers per day come in with their phones and say they cant find the item.

and after viewing the customers phone, its not their fault, the internet "locations" are simply wrong.

Then so is genesis. and on-hands, and so on, and so on.

Its all broken Carvin Marvin, and you sir, are a regular jackass!
