If you are a contractor or have a Pro account, you may want to know Lowes hires Pro Specialists with zero experience, and has no training program. Thats right. Lowe's used to have something called RED VEST READY training program where the newbie was given a mentor to shadow on a timeline. Each day they had a book to cover, with tasks and assignments. It was a very poorly run program, but at least it was SOMETHING, so these employees had some knowledge and could at least ALMOST do the basics.
Now? Lowe's has nothing. The new Pro guys they hire are from unrelated fields with no construction background, nor Lowes systems or computers.
We go to management saying the people are not being trained, cant do the simplest tasks, and havent sold a nickle in 4 months, and they do nothing.
Probably because we never work pro anyway! We unload sheet rock trucks and all lumber trucks. We run register because we have no cashiers. We are scheduled weekends to work as a CSA.
There is no Pro at all, and what you do have, are untrained monkeys, andf Lowes is aware of it all and does nothing. They want your dollar, and arent wiling to do anything for it. Dont give it to them. Go somewhere like a lumber yard such as Kuiken bros who will give you good service.
Lowes is terrible/ Stay away.
