I just received a picture of the tentative draft for our posting board from our district chairman.

And I quote

“Effective date Aug 1. 2019 the Schafer’s crossing location will cease all operations. Including all agreement and non agreement employees.”

200 jobs.

He said they’re moving the heavy work to East end, and the running repair will be absorbed mostly by Linwood. After the merger (without an agreement) and furloughs only 15% of the jobs will be readvertised at the east end location.

Us pipe fitters need to fight harder!

I’m at RLS and they told us in the morning meeting that Ryan Steige and the guys from Oliver Wyman we’re going to be here today to look busy but not to worry that they were just looking around and that we’re actually budgeting for ramping up midlifes significantly next year.

We never saw them. I’m not sure how much we’re “significantly ramping up” next year or what that means for y’all.

I don’t know about the Op’s post but I got a text from our LC this morning saying August was going to be a sh-- show so there could be some truth to it.

I love how people can’t “comment” and then give a little stab. Or someone get a picture or an email or whatever, and no one ever sees said pic or email. It’s not hard to leak stuff. If your not gonna back up what you say then don’t say anything at all

I asked Cindy after the meeting if there was any truth to this and she said she can’t comment on it but she was glad she was going to east end and just trying to keep her head down the next few months.

I’m sure there’s a lot of “ in between the lines” of appendix M. But why hasn’t that been brought to attention? Seems to me there is a leg to stand on there
