Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Makes sense June 14 as it also coincides with end of second quarter

Layoffs ALWAYS occur on a pay week. Typically on Tuesday and told to leave but last day is that Friday. Then you get 2 weeks short notice pay and the rest is “the package.” Makes sense June 14 as it also coincides with end of second quarter. .interesting.

I tend to agree with @ZbCULgO-7pyr ‘s post. But I was hoping to get some opinions on this logic.

It's not a pay week and it looks like there were a lot of RIF's today. Wonder if they were given WARN Notices.

I have heard there will be some RIF's in various departments next week. Not sure what departments. I also heard the RIF's will pick up more towards 3rd quarter.

There have been some large RIFs, in the past, but now the layoffs at AIG are occurring every day. There are between 5-10 terminations every day.
