At what rate do California employees that have been with the company over 20 years accrue vacation time?
They will not be meeting with hourly ambassadors. Will rely on leaders to give the bad news.
I doubt they're traveling to each park to communicate to hourly employees because they stopped communicating to us 2 years ago.
If I were a betting man, I bet they're doing damage control and looking for ways to cover their a--. Smile or die people, that's the culture here.
Everyone should get together and go to corp and demand this b stopped, but too many people afraid to lose there jpbs
They don't give a sh-- about you they Hire rejects who can't work anywhere eles customer service at all time low cause employees don't give a sh-- about a company that dosnt give a sh-- about them
Wow. This will be interesting to see how it impacts my friends who have 4 weeks or more.
No it will effect ALL hourly employees.
Is this affecting new hires only?
Nothing is EVER announced nowadays... We find things out throughout of mouth. From people who care I think... Those of us left are told to just smile and go along with changes happening... "Be happy you're still here. If you're not willing please tell us and you can go! " yes expect more changes coming... Not to the team members benefit.
Which park(s) announced this? Haven't heard it yet in Tampa.
My understanding is that they are lumping everything together for hourly only and calling it PTO which will be accrued. So come January most of us will only have 1 or 2 days.
I feel bad for people who usually plan vacation with their kids in February. S---S!!!!!
The fact that they’re announcing this halfway thru the year is completely unfair. What about people who already have vacations planned next year? Sh-- out of luck.
If they are just switching to monthly accrual vs. front loading it on Jan 1, then they are aligning it with what already happens in CA and is becoming the norm everywhere. In CA we accrue hours the last day of each month, but they also can't be taken away at the end of the year and roll over to the next. It takes a little while to max out, but once there it is pretty nice. We also still have the optional holidays, which are front-loaded. Now, if they are reducing the number of hours we can get (like they have already done with sick time) or getting rid of optional holidays then......
They will in 2020! The rest of us peons will lose time.
salaried people do not have unlimited vacation...
They are traveling to parks to announce this to hourly staff right? Vacation will now be accrued each month I believe so come January 2020, you will not have your full vacation/floating days available to take.
And yet salaried people will have UNLIMITED vacation. How is that fair? We need to do something. Wish we had a union.
To what? Effecting who?
Where did you see this?
