People seem to forget that Ralph's pricing strategy led in part to the company having no choice but to get further into bed with Walmart. For decades the prices DF charged to customers went up and down as the price DF was paying for milk went up and down. One of Ralph's first decisions was to not lower prices when the price DF was paying went down. It worked for 2 quarters. Which was how long it too for some long time customers to find another supplier.

I think going to a national brand was a mistake people would rather see there local dairy name on the product like TG lee here in florida

That’s what good businesses do - adapt to the competitive environment to win. Dean Foods is the complete opposite of this.

They knew the WalMart’s plan for years and didn’t do anything except sit back and talk about life after WalMart...what ur seeing now is the result of not doing anything.
