I do think Vicki cares about the employees. Chazen didn't, and Irani definitely didn't. I'm not in HR or management. Just a lowly cog in the machine. She has gone out of her way to talk to me a few times, even though I didn't really want to because I'm an introvert and it felt awkward. But I think she won't have any choice but to cut headcount after this acquisition. It probably won't be the end of Oxy, but a lot of people will get screwed before this is over.
No matter what the HR clones on here say or try to hide from people, Oxy always has been a hostile work environment for those who don’t kiss up or who want to do the right thing. You know it’s a reply from management or HR when they insult the person posting, as they have no data proving the post incorrect. Look at the reviews of Oxy on Glassdoor or Indeed., they match the accurate non-HR and non-management posts. Don’t work here if you can help it, and if you do work here look for a better place to use your talents. You think VH and her cronies care about you? They don’t. They have golden parachutes either way and all you’ll have is a merged mess or a pink slip.
Name callers are just HR or management losers. The facts, like the Bakersfield Parking Lot Layoff, etc are real facts not fiction.
He didn't mention anything in that post about California or Piper Alpha. Can't you read? But if you look at the list he does post, he mentions everything Oxy has failed at across the whole organisation, so you might want to get your facts right before making a such an obtuse statement and advertising your intelligence.

It really is sad. Doesn't that person have anything better to do? They obviously haven't worked at Oxy in a long time, since all they ever talk about is Piper Alpha and California stuff.
What will the Bigotry Troll do when Oxy is gone and there isn't anything to complain about anymore? It will be SAD!
