@ixml It must have been a terribly inept and incompetent CEO who mismanaged the company that even a Golden store would have such low footfall and terrible numbers, to the point that a company that managed $40B in revenue would drop to $12B in just six years. I don't think any CEO has been such an unmitigated disaster in all of retail history. I wonder who that guy could have been.
This was anyway one of those huge stores will low footfall and -ve EBITDA compared to the area.
The Kardashians and Sears was one of the dumbest stunts ever. Is this what Eddie's metrics are telling him who his members are? The kind of people who by Kardashian clothing? What an id--t!
Criteria is "Seritage can't lease it out for immediate profit"
@ZpVRw2b-1j "but the Sears store in Yonkers at Cross Country Shopping Center did not meet our go-forward criteria,"
Makes you wonder, what the hell IS the criteria then!
That store used to pull in over a million dollars in sales on Black Friday.
@ZpVRw2b-1jkd Which kinda begs the question, if a "golden" store isn't good enough for this company, then what is? Or is it just another pile of BS from good ol' Eddie and that all of them will be shut down eventually. My money is on the latter.
and that was one of the Golden stores. That’s where they do the Jacqueline Smith meet and greets and where they did the kardashians launch here on the east coast. It was also bound to happen, that store is huge. I guess with these new go forward plans they don’t need large stores.
Yup, Eddie sure is saving those 45,000 jobs, right?!
