the stress from one layoff to another was a physical reason why I left several years ago but Karma to those that played the a-- kissing game of gossip and bad management ....now you will know...I called out my manager and disappeared.... the best move of my life...now others respects straight up honest real people...to appreciate....love my new job, accually socialize outside of work unlike keystone or sikorsky days...all the best to the back shops going forward.....
I feel for you guys, mostly the ones who will find it difficult to move elsewhere. There's other jobs out there, but now require a more substantial commute for some.
Sikorsky has done zero nothing to innovate in the civilian helicopter market, and currently finds AW139's, H175's and other aircraft kicking it's a-- while they continue to build newer (not better) iterations of your grandfather's helicopter (S-76, March 13, 1977,).
There are other manufacturers in the area, and those of you with A&P's have job opportunities all over the place.
“Home of the 148”...
There were only ever supposed to be 28 and aside from some retrofits... hello
I knew when they were paying people to leave like five or six years ago they were F——. I got the hell out of there. F—— Sikorsky. F—— management. You just just screwed and entire town congratulations.
WPB was setup for failure too staying in a UTC facility. Stratford doesn't care about any of it's offsites save for the alma mater of hewson in Alabama and owego because LM was already there. 1150 only cares about CT and f--- anyone else.
Those that laughed when some of the best were laid off in 2015 can now s--- on that unemployment stick for a while. Saw it coming three years ago when that sh-- show bought the place. Go kart track anyone?
Florida lost jobs when Coatesville became the “Home of the 148” . Coatesville could manufacture so much better
546 employees is massive - and they do not seem to care. Coatesville was doomed from day 1 as the poster said below Lockheed Martin never had an interest in Coatesville facility
Lockheed Martin NEVER had an interest in Coatesville facility no matter what they said over the last 4 or 5 years since purchasing what they actually wanted the military side of the business.
