Looks like in the pipeline
Legacy just means IBM is not investing in it any more. So every time execs move to a new shiny thing yesterday's strategic imperative becomes today's legacy.
Is there a list of what is deemed Legacy products in SWG?
We have been told IBM cloud pak for Data (ICP4D) is very successful and bringing in big bucks.
A major Australian bank moved mainframe DB2 workload to Oracle Exadata, very successfully. Much cheaper and better performance.
With the rise of No SQL db's a dime a dozen on Windows does not seem like rosy future but fits in the purge compliance calling itself "Cloud (Hybrid)" brand.
Z might be stronger with huge clients will have train wrecks trying to migrate to 1000's of x86 servers or Cloud. Good luck trying to do all that on AWS or Azure. So many horror stories out there of failures trying to migrate off Db2.
It is in the pipeline
It is in pipeline. Wait few more days
