Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Change in compensation structure and higher salaries

Hello All

I have been hearing from some senior folks at Qualcomm that some kind of compensation change is on the way. They would be increasing the compensation to match the market pay and that way they can stop attrition. Has anyone else heard this? How likely is it to happen and when can we expect it?

Lots of initiatives underway (aside from across the board salary rises) to stem the high attrition. Some teams bleeding quite badly lately. Years of lawsuits and round of layoffs; combined with excessive exec compensation have soured morale and folks rightly see better opportunities elsewhere.

What I heard was elimination of RSU from next year to cut cost.

They’ll probably increase RSUs, which won’t be vested at lay-off time.
