GIS/XBS has continuously acquired well established small to medium size companies. They normally do a few a year. That’s why they have so many cores.
However I would have loved to be a fly on the wall just to hear how they pitched that deal.
Hmmm, Rabbit is in Sunnyvale,CA where HCL Americas is located, coincidence, I don'think so and Heritage states it is now part of XBS core Stewart Business, those poor employees have no idea what they are in for, as I am sure they will be badged to HCL which has been a living nightmare!
Articles I have read said they are being merged with local XGS cores so really they are just buying sales staff and customers. Can show growth even though it won’t be organic but some owners know the print industry is getting less profitable so why not sell and get out.
I don't know if those cores were acquired before or after the HCL mess, but I have heard XBS is still out there making deals and they are expected to still bring in new cores. I'm sure they don't mention the HCL mess when making these acquisitions!
I wonder when this deal was originally negotiated. Before Xerox destroyed GIS or after. I can't imagine selling a dealership to Xerox now. You're basically selling your employees to HCL.
Weird, I thought Xerox split into two companies so it could get rid of all of its BPO into a different company (Conduent). Two years later and they're buying more BPO companies again? Why?
Honestly, I feel bad for anyone that gets acquired by Xerox at this point. Their future will be full of layoffs, changes, the stripping of their identity... all so Icahn and his cronies can get richer.
