What keeps you going?

They could wipe Telephonic care off the face of the planet and make buckets of money. You are just wrong. It's a balance. It keeps me going, I hope to help as much as I can but I know Humana has to make a dollar. It's a balance.
When I was first hired At Humana things were great! Then they changed our department to Humana Cares. Once they bought Seniorbridge and we became Humana at Home things were never the same. We were treated like second class employees. Every FCM nurse fought and said this would never work but greedy execs and regional and senior leadership didn’t listen. Now the department has been torn to pieces. I’m so glad I got out when I did before they RIF half of the department. Senior leadership was the downfall of Humana at Home. None of them know what they are doing and yet Humana continues to move these leaders around despite the fact that none of them can run any department or program successfully. When you have a senior leader tell you that getting a new job within Humana is all in who you know or whose a– you can kiss I say no thank you!!!! I’m so thankful the bigger and better insurance company who hired me based it off my actual talent and skill and not whose a– I could kiss to get the job.
Still waiting for PTO, was part of last RIF this year. Humana hopes Care Managers will just go away with no severance for yrs. building HAH Program from the onset. Have members calling for assistance with getting medications from Humana Pharmacy. Only guidance that can be offered, call CS # on back of Humana ID card, per former members, hard to understand on the phone and keep switching to another department. Feel bad for the members as they are seniors, most do not have a computer and have a hard time hearing via phone. No wonder members are frustrated and confused. Open enrollment is approaching, always was advocate for members as well as Humana, now hoping members will make the best choice for them, done with promoting Humana Medicare Advantage Programs.
Despite all the claims about how 'we care about you' and 'we care about our members' its all a smoke screen. You are only a worker ant in a colony. They put up this facade of being such a great company and they tell you in all those Town house meetings. All that proclamation of how great they are. This company used to be run by the owners and it was started under the premise of people getting their health needs covered. Not so anymore. This company has taken a slide down corporate greed lane as evidenced by the top who made financial deals with Aetna to profit for themselves. Sure, they did not combine but the board all made Millions. They claim to invest in their workers but everything has a reason; they get compensated by doing so through government programs and tax write offs. Nothing they do is out of the goodness of their heart, its all about corporate greed. As long as they can keep the sheeple working as furious and fast as possible and hire others to crack whips over their heads, they are happy. Denying the elderly funds for medications that keep them alive. California is suing the company right now for breaking government contract with Medicare.
Some shallow a-- hats here. So your bleating about caring for your members? Soon forgot about that when a bigger check came along.
Leaving! My favorite part. Humana is the epitome of greed
NOT ONE THING! There are so many incompetent leaders especially in LTIH! Did you see during town hall Greg couldn’t answer a question and looked to Lynn to answer? Geesh!
Is the crazy CFO Michael Allen still there? He is crazyyy
There is life after Humana and I found other companies pay more!!
Smiling and dialing please share where ! That’s great
Recently got layed off. Found out the world has been moving on while I was smiling and dialing. I am going to be making a 4000 increase in income doing basically the same I was.
The biggest plus is the flexibility of working from home affords me. The pay is comparable with other managed care companies. I also enjoy the variety of the actual work.
Working from home is a big plus for me. Money can be better, but it's OK.
My paycheck and the ability to work at home. That is all
My coach, my job, the benefits, the challenge
