Word around the crystal palace is they are reducing the number of managers from 5 to 2, and the ones there now may not be there for long.

Not sure if “they” will be there but we’re supposed to have town hall meetings tomorrow.
When is the next visit
Going to update this as there were questions asked about DeSoto and how the visit went.
I will say that I didnt have any direct contact with the man but talked with someone that did.
When he asked the employee what he had heard and about him the employee was honest and and told him "I heard when you visit people lose thier jobs". The CMO was very adamant that he was not "that"guy and no layoffs would result from his visit. He went on to talk about our positives such as our low dwell time and good quality. When on to talk about how we have difficulty competing with costs of labor compared to contract shops and need to come up with ways to compensate for that such as figuring out ways to work more efficiently. I'm told he did elaborate on this and none of the talk included layoffs.
It was also stated he would like to come back in the future weeks to have an opportunity to talk more one on one with the different crafts. I believe the intention is to visit at a time when we have our monthly business meetings at the shop, Ithink the term "town hall meeting" was misused by one of the managers here.
Nonetheless in my opinion our visit was niether good nor bad and so far we are all still here. We will see what the future brings and the general consensus among the crafts here is that the 35 or so layoffs we had a year or two ago will not be the last.
I consider myself a "newer" employee (agreement) and hope to be able to stay with UP until my retirement. I read quite a bit on here 6-8 months ago but steered myself away due to trolls and misinformation. Though I would just add this bit of info as i very rarely see any follow ups.
What about Palestine
TTX
New CMO visited Tuesday and Wednesday. Said they will return in about 2 weeks to have townhall meetings with different groups.
What about foreman. When’s this taking place.
80 percent reduction all managers left untouched
How did the visit go today?
When will the Kansas City shop at Armourdale close? TTX purchased the shop, but our workers are still there. Anyone have any insight!?
85% reduction total shutdown in 60 days
Well get ready for more. Cause now it’s time for 20/20 cuts
They already cut PRIOR to all this bull $hit!!! 20/20 u dumb $hit gossip pu$$y$
The NEW CMO will be on property TUESDAY ...
STAY TUNED....
$HIT Talkers
No location is safe. They cut at Palestine they’ll surely cut at desoto at some point.
We have so many cars stored why build more new ones
"Who is going to tell everyone to COMMIT??"
They will not need to tell anyone since the shop will be shut down. Sounds like the same playbook that was used at morrill. Went from 5 managers down to 3, down to 1 + superintendent, down to just the shop super which lasted about 4 months before the announcement was made. Total process took around 2.5 years or so.
I call BS.
Who is going to tell everyone to COMMIT??
Surprised they haven’t closed the car
shop there. I’m sure it’s getting reduced somehow soon..
