Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Sales continue to drop...

Feels like we are now trying to determine just how low we can go...

I hope other stores are doing better...

“I wonder what it was like when Marvin was at JCP?”

I was a long time JCP customer but I stopped shopping there during those years - it was trashy, clothing selection was poor, aisles were disorganized, no help to be found...

In example, Memorial Day weekend...corporate forecast was 15% better than last year, we did almost 1% better.

We have foot traffic but they leave before we can help them.

I wonder what it was like when Marvin was at JCP?

The last time I was in JCP, Marv was CEO. There were clothes all over the floor, no employees to be found. It looked like customers had spilled drinks on the floor and nobody cleaned the mess before they dried. I was going to buy a gift card for a girl, that requested it for secret santa. I decided against it and gave her a Macy’s card. (They weren’t much butter but there were associates in the departments folding clothes and the floors were clean.

we are. actually have record sales going on. couple that with the reduced payroll and corporate is enjoying quite a win. im sure theyll pat themselves on the back and believe their scheduling model works....meanwhile we are over tasked, worn out, and fear and intimidation rules the day.
