Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

I'm a first line manager and I haven't been in the loop on any of the IRIFs since JohnV took over. Most of them originate and are decided a couple levels above, at least in my area, and I have no idea they are coming. I also never receive any information on transformation, re-orgs, outsourcing and other activities with the company. I regularly get asked about these things in 1 on 1s with my team members but I never have answers and know as much as they do. Its all being done by upper management and as someone else stated they NDA a lot of it so it does not cascade to lower management levels. Thinking your direct manager has a lot of this information and is hiding it, I think would be a mistake in many cases. Most likely they find out same time as you do or maybe right before

If your manager is not having 1 on 1s with on a regular basis that is another problem. In that case I would go ahead and schedule a monthly 1 on 1 with them instead. Take some initiative if you want that interaction
