Range went from one of the best operators in the basin to one of the worst. They had an operations team that was envied by all and now are a joke. Bad decisions by upper management to get rid of the old guard. Find a divisional VP for Pa. swallow your pride, and go get the team back together.
Yep, take note HR Dept: bad decision made good employees leave, if you didn’t make up a reason on your own. Funny to see how you backed the wrong horse/hag.
If the book is biased, I wonder why Range payed such a high settlement? Why did Suszkowski flee to Texas, being the great Pennsylvania Professional Civil engineer that she boasted to be? Why was there the shake up at the top when the settlement became public? wasn’t there another time this “leader” was asked to leave a company that he lead? And lastly, why was he given another opportunity?
As a former Range employee, I am enjoying the book - especially the naming of bad apples. Unfortunately a few loud mouth, egotistical civil and industrial engineers became the face of the company. The author should not have won a prize for the book - too much meandering off the story and no clear understanding of things such as why the EPA was wrong in it’s dealings with Range in Texas. That is why the Texas Operations were exonerated. If there is truth in flushing drill cuttings pits or aerating flowback ponds, ... I just shake my head. A lot of bad decisions caused the best staff to leave.
