Ah, and checking again, it appears someone deleted his message and those referencing it from the thread. Can't have any negativity in Dear Leader's threads, after all.

@bufc; "How about instead of worrying about the media we get vendors and suppliers straight and get items fixed or upgraded. No one should have to wait weeks to get a register fixed. We shouldn't be ordering shirts and tube man when registers are down or we cant get supplies cause corporate wants to drag its feet to get work orders approved. The buck stops at the top and Mr. Lampert you are there. I and many others are frustrated at the way this once great company is being operated. The inefficiency and lack of caring about the simple business model is what is bringing this company down not media reports. Associates come in wanting to make a difference but when they see that the hierarchy above them doesn't care why should they? Not trying to be argumentative but we cant keep saying its all good when it seems to be going downhill. Have a good day!"

There was one guy who tried to concern troll this post a bit later, but if one can measure sentiments by likes, the post I quoted was far more popular.

Capitalism is literally the enabling mechanism by which such dishonorable actions can occur. It is only through strict regulation that anything can be done. The free market certainly isn't going to do anything to fix it. Asking people to not (at least in part) blame capitalism is like saying that players shouldn't blame football for CTE. (prior to the rule changes that, however ineffectually, tried to mitigate it)

Don't blame capitalism for the selfish acts of rich people. Blame greed, selfishness, and unhonorable intentions. Lambert has a reputation to uphold...buying companies and hacking them apart to fill his pocket.

Somebody had the guts to call out ESL to his face in response to his post, not that I imagine he actually reads any replies, if he was even the one who personally typed out that garbage. Basically chastised the company for wasting money on the new shirts, and apparently some new wacky waving tube men that we're getting for no good reason, even as our vendors flee and our equipment constantly breaks down.

I hope the guy doesn't get hit too hard for daring to do something other than groveling before Dear Leader.

Dear God, the a$$-kissing on Pebble to ESL's post about his response could probably create enough vacuum energy to power the planet.

Anonymous troll,

Your post is laughable. ESL was only in it for the money.

The elderly people who had their meager life insurance cancelled by Eddie have family and friends who do do not have a positive image of Sears.

The employees who were counting on the meager severance to pay their bills have friends and family who do do not have a positive image of Sears.

Diehard, Kenmore, and Craftsman are no longer worldwide icons. Eddie has tarnished their reputations.

ESL has been a valued partner of Sears, Kmart and important stakeholders including members and employees.

Shame on Elizabeth Warren for trying to undermine the company’s turnaround strategy and Go Forward Plan with toxic politics!

Members are counting on Sears to continue its robust recovery and deliver the DieHard, Roebuck & Co and Kenmore products that make Sears a worldwide icon. The company doesn’t need Washington politicians trying to disrupt it to advocate communist ideas.

Of course, no mention whatsoever that after oct 15th severance was reduce by 50% for salaried associates. Severance went from 20 weeks to 10. All those associates let go last summer had their severance cut off at 1/2 way through due to bankruptcy and have to go through prime clerk to get the remainder, if any.

So once again EL is a liar by being disingenuous, by omission

I don’t agree with a lot that warren and AOC stand for but I hope they subpoena him before Congress and run wild on him. F Eddie

He is now trying to say that if associates were not paid it is on the "Old Sears". He knows what he has done to the associates and he does not care. He will keep lying and getting away with it because this is the new "American Way". Welcome to capitalism at it's finest.

What a piece of work.

I've already sent an email to my Senators and Representatives to dispute this. Also to Senator Warren. He shouldn't be allowed to get away with this.
