Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Things get better after Dell - much better

I left Dell a year ago. I now have company-paid health insurance, a free transit pass, and a kitchen full of food that I don’t have to pay for. My paydays are now the 15th and end of every month instead of every other Friday. My rate went up a bit, but not having to shell out for a HSA and sub-standard insurance, along with all the other weird things Dell deducted from my check, I’ve come out way ahead.

Just a reminder that there is definitely life after Dell - good life at that! Posted by @YR258VM-Fxrh.

You must realize that being paid every other week means 26 paychecks, whereas being paid 2x/month means 24...

If a kitchen full of junk food is a big thing to you then your in the wrong field or just not a strong player and need to look at yourself. Free food at work is nothing. As for being paid every Friday... were you a contract employee???? Dell never paid every week for regular employees and while I think the company is ran by greedy asshats it did have decent benefits. I would though NEVER work for them again.

I work at a small cyber security company that’s made my city’s top 100 best places to work list for a few years in a row.

7/11. I get free hot dogs (the ones that didn't sell) at the end of my ship. So much better.
