Sorry to all that were laid off but let's be real- you we underperforming for a FULL YEAR and trending to not meet expectations for the next year. Every Fortune 500 company has gone or will go through a similar process- it isn't personal.
I find it laughable that the former EM is coming on here lying about how he "couldn't meet his goals" because of his salary... Cmon man. 40 points is 40 points- your salary level doesn't change this. Being a manager for 6 years you should know this. Good luck to you.
