A for profit university is ultimately accountable to the shareholder and wall street, not the student. As a result to quality of students and their work has declined. It is more important to get students enrolled and keep them in class, a making sure their FAFSA money keeps rolling in. I am taking advantage of my tuition waiver offered in the severance package to finish my MIS degree, and I am embarrassed by the quality of students in the program. In each class almost half the students do not have a grasp of basic grammar. But as long as they are eligible for student loans UOP keeps enrolling and graduating them. Pathetic.
