IT HAPPENED TO ME TOO!
I was an Associate Director of Education with almost 10 years of employment with the company. I had worked in a number of departments while at the campus, always with great reviews. This past October during the annual review they put me on a PIP (I had never had any type of negative documentation prior to this). My supervisor was supposed to meet with me weekly, but did not begin meeting until I complained to our corporate Human Resources person. I never received any feedback that my supervisor felt my work was unsatisfactory, then at the end of January I was called in and told I was terminated because I didn't meet the conditions of the PIP.
I believe basically they didn't want someone who knew and would state when they were out of compliance with policies.
If they had just stated, "We thank you for your service, but we no longer need you" and then gave a good recommendation, I would be upset, but that's just business.
It's funny that while at Corinthian I had worked for 2 school Presidents, 6 Director's of Education, 3 Finance Directors/Managers, always with glowing reports, and 1 Admission's Director who asked me to leave the Education Department to join his team . Now this past year I'm on a PIP.
VERY SUSPICIOUS AND JUST NOT RIGHT!!!!!
