THE CAMPUS IS SO STRESSFUL… I GET A THROBBING HEADACHE EVERYDAY BEFORE I GO TO WORK!
You’re absolutely right about only keeping the employees who “kiss ass”. I am at the Southfield Campus in Michigan. They just got rid of our F.A. Director. She had been with the company for years and was the only experienced person in her position left at the campus. If you took a student issue to her she would do her best to ensure that the student was treated fairly. All the other Directors have been in their current positions for less than a year. There has been lots of gossip, but I don’t think this is an accident.
Our Director of Education is a religious nut! When she was the Director of Career Services her employees would complain all the time about her constant religious references, but they were all too afraid to complain. I truly think she spends her entire day jotting notes on her little notepad about whom to “write-up” next. From what I’ve heard she only recently obtained her Bachelor Degree, I think she got it through CCi, doesn’t give much confidence, huh. They demoted the previous Director of Education, but I think they’re keeping him around because of the numerous lawsuits that are brewing from previous employees.
There is no one left to help the students (not that we have that many). My husband’s company is supposed to relocate in the next few months. I’m trying to hang-on until that happens. I feel so badly for the students. There is no one left to help them with their troubles. The faculty are good people and are really trying, but since last January they’ve gutted our Education Department and current management level employees are useless!
