The bay area economy is a LOT WORSE in 2012 than in 2009 with regards to ENTRY LEVEL hiring. You can tout all the college career expos but the simple fact of the matter is that most employers are NOT HIRING. NO JOB IS BENEATH ANYONE anymore. Berkeley grads take jobs that might be beneath them not because they want to but because they have to. We have EXPERIENCED CPAs working for $8 an hour at Liberty Tax Service, H&R Block who have been unemployed for months. Hate to give you the bad news but you are pretty clueless about the current job market for accounting graduates as I know LOTS of SJSU business majors (with one being an accounting major) working (literally) at McDonalds flipping burgers for minimum wage. If the job market is SO BAD that Berkeley and Stanford grads can't find jobs then you can only imagine the job market for Heald grads.
