Regardless of the point of a director, most are so afraid of losing their six figure salaries due to an hr complaint that they walk such a fine line they don't get crap accomplished and haven't figured out how to motivate sales people without competitive compensation plans. They are also afraid of holding people accountable to any kind of numerical outputs even though this is crucial with any company and any position. People need to work but the company is recognizing sub-standard performance and compensating people who come I'm and twiddle thr thumbs half the day the same way thy are co one saying those who actually work hard and have talent. I personally still love my position and my teams but I'm ready for the next phase in my life. It makes me sad to see a company I have loved so much and that has offered me such a successful career for so many years throw away so much money on non-sense and people who can't provide any real leadership or performance. There are still a few good ones out there, don't get me wrong, but they'd re few and far between. People take advantage of this cmpny every day and still complain when askd to work. It's annoying Nd discouraging but I just don't have the desire nor motivation to fight the good fight any longer. I'm being called to take care of my family at this time, but definitely curious to see what the next few months bring and if Uop can figure it out in regards to how to eff timely trim the fat.
