The FMU-to-Everest name change happened because the brains in Santa Ana thought they could leverage Everest College - Phoenix's regional accreditation to benefit online. That backfired when HLC put ECP on probation and came very close to yanking its accreditation altogether. If the organization has any chance of pulling itself out of this "circling the drain" mode, the rest of the dead wood needs to go, starting from the top down.
