Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

First, I have been reading this site since it was first opened and always wondered why Wyotech seemed to be escaping the wrath of this site, they too have been hit hard by the layoffs. Secondly everyone knows by now that Sacramento and Daytona are up for sale or possibly by now "sold" along with the Admissions Reps that support those campuses. However I would like to comment on what I have seen happen? As previous posters had stated, there was a time when I would hope that everyone who has posted on this site "believed" in the school they represented. I would just have to ask what has changed, because whether you were or are soon to be a victim of a "lay off", "fired for speaking your mind", or are "part of a sale of a campus?", the end result is you are on the unemployment line? For CCi when the money is not coming in "for profit" someone is to blame! Ok, my point is, what has changed? Only three things come to mind, "the Law", Management (Leadership) and the Process? Which with the last two typically always change together. however as many have seen it appears Management is never to blame, they just keep blaming the Reps, Instructors, financial aid planners, "the little guys"? Maybe, and just a Maybe it's time to take a hard look at Management, and not just the ones with VP or AVP in front of their names, they need to start at the Director level up. Hey they are making the big bucks, maybe it's time to "Walk the Talk", pretty sad when Directors come for a "ride along" and then don't "ride along", just stay in high cost hotels saying they have calls they need to be on, and even when they do return a call many can't answer even the simplest questions! Here's a thought, Knowledge tests for Directors and RVPs? What would their escore be? Corinthian is a for profit school, which means they need to make a profit, where that profit comes from, doesn’t matter, whether it is the students with high cost tuition, or reducing employee salaries through layoffs, profit is profit and that is what Corinthian is all about. If you think back when Everest and Heald were respected schools and Wyotech was an elite Automotive school, it was run by individuals with Leadership and "heart", if you don’t know what that means, rent the movie "the Replacements". There was a time I thought MS could make it work, however I now reservations, If MS has the guts to fix it, the fix needs to start with his entire management team! NB, and her VP's are a joke and the Directors are the punch line. Loyalty goes a long way, maybe TC would consider a consulting position? To the last poster, if the 4th quarter report is showing an improvement, I would guess it is just a lucky hiccup?
