It is easy to say "You should have done your research" which clearly one should. Given that, the government needs to crack down on ALL of the for profit schools. You can start by getting rid of the "rinky dink" national accreditation agencies and INSIST on real standards before being eligible for student aid. Mandatory and readily accessible student disclosures preferably on a SINGLE web site (which is what California is implimenting) would be another good start. An effective consumer protection agency (such as the California bureau of private postsecondary education) would help as well. If you had a negative educational experience then post your negative experiences on yelp dot com and other such web sites along with telling others of your poor educational experiences. File a complaint with the relevant government agencies. While I don't think a complaint will generate much of a result, at least a record will exist somewhere that might help someone in the future.
