Heald technology programs are NOT getting an upgrade in hardware and software

Heald technology programs are NOT getting an upgrade in hardware and software. While it needs an upgrade (sorry Windows XP is a tad out of date)(nor is Linux and Mac OS X a passing fad)(the Cisco hardware is woefully out of date), said upgrade "will not be coming". The decision has been made "by the higher ups" to "invest" (remember CCI pocketed $40 million in a sale-leaseback of five campuses) in the new BS programs. Heald technology instructors are to "simply wing it" should students complain about the antique hardware and software. The plan is to get the technology students "suckered in" (start off with the diploma, then the AAS, then the AA) and after getting the AA degree to move them over to the BS degree in business. Electronics Technology in San Jose and Honolulu are getting no new equiptment. If you are Heald IT faculty then try to get some general ed or business courses as the gig is up. The Heald IT programs that are in most trouble are the ones in Milpitas and Hayward. Heald telling the IT faculty that they are going to offer CCNP instruction is going nowhere.
